So its Sunday morning , (sings Sunday morning by maroon 5)
Yesterday, being the traditional fun loving Asian family we are, my family and i went to the annual Chinese New Year festival.
It was pretty fun, but nothing we haven't seen before
you know the typical things you see at all festivals;
The stalls, the bbq stick foods, the rides ,the try hard wannabe Asian kids that think their cool with their far out Manga hair traveling around in bunches.
It kinda made me think, im 17 almost 18 and i've never been to one of these things by myself( without my family) and to think that these kids were there just with their friends?
i don't know.weird. ignore me.
lol
So anyway after the festival we got into the car and to our dismay the normal roads that we use to get home were blocked so we had to frickin find our way back in the freaking dark of the night.
DUDE
ALMOST AN HOUR IN THE CAR.
When we finally got home and i rang my misterman.
i love that time in a relationship when you feel completely at home with them and you find that after a fight or something your relationship is stronger than ever.
AHHA he just rang.
"What are you doing now?"
"I'm writing a blog"
"A blog?...why?"
"ahhahahah.. i don't know i feel like it"
Hmmm why am i writing a blog?
Well i guess I'm writing one because Uni is starting soon and i wanted to document my first year at university, i don't know the inner sociologist in me says its a good idea to see how much I've changed overtime or how it impacts upon me, my forever constantly changing state of mind, my status of achievement, my relationships and the impact of my uni life towards the way i will interact and relate to the people i love and loathe.A social study on myself? lol kind of like a John Safran versus god thing but more like Nina Vivienne-lee versus first year uni.
ahha hmmm i seriously want to make a documentary one day.
And one day i will whether it be the changes and difference between experience of immigrants and their children and grandchildren, or even the stories of how different kids from different areas view other cultures, whatever it is, I'm sure it will be something highly drenched in cultural, political and social issues.
Not very exciting to many people hey,
but yea.
haha
the many people that know me are probably reading this thinking
what?!?!?!?
What can i say ?
Blame Society & culture, im a SAC kid forever.
lol
till next time,

Hey Nina !
Was the Chinese festival around Warrick Farm, or in the Livo/Bankstown area? I was driving in that area lastnight, and I saw hundreds of asians walking in the same direction ...
